Who would have thought that you might look evil, runs fast, good-looking sports car that also offers an impressive green credentials? Well, that’s exactly what they are proposing Porsche with its latest concept car: the Porsche 918 Spyder. Let’s take a closer look.
He announced on the eve of the famous Geneva Auto Show, the company based in Stuttgart, Porsche, lifted the lid of its new concept car that is a half-engine, two seater sports car with hybrid technology and electric drive. Certainly is, but what are the statistics as? Notably impressive when viewed. This is a high-revving sports car V-8 related, 3.4 liters of motor racing. It produces more than 500 brake horsepower with engine revs up to 9200 rpm. However, what makes one incredible 78mpg, driven on the right track, plus the emissions level seating only 70 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
The chassis is made of CFP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), along with the use of a lot of magnesium and aluminum to keep the frame as light as possible. The interior styling is designed to be oriented controller with touch screen and intuitive controls.
The Porsche 918 Spyder, while still a concept car at this stage is a sports car that looks exactly like a sports car should look and drive just like a sports car should be driven unit with impressive green credentials. It promises to be a car of the future operating real production possibilities that could set a new standard for the next generation of sports cars.
