All of you folks might currently know that when Ford announced the hold down of Mercury, the American manufacturer said that it will funnel more money into Lincoln.
And it appears that the plans are working great since the manufacturer is looking to add a compact, front-drive car or crossover. And this isn’t all, as a car dependent on the next-generation Ford Mondeo could also be added towards the lineup. According to some analysts, Ford’s key will probably be to separate Lincoln’s style, powertrains and technology from those of the Ford brand. Lincoln will also obtain new functions for example active noise cancellation and adaptive suspensions. Sources also confirmed the truth that Ford could phase out the MKT along with the Ford Flex following the 2014 model year and replace them having a Ford Explorer-based car. The great news is that the MKT will obtain a redesign for the 2012 design year.
