One hundred percent solar cell subsidiary Honda Soltec Honda plans to expand its business outside Japan photovoltaic module to keep pace with an environment of increasing demand.The company recently introduced a new line of solar cell modules to meet the diverse needs of its customers, including a power conditioner with a rated capacity of 5.5 kW and two residential modules with higher output of previous modules, now up to 130W.

It also has advanced production technology of solar cells, achieving efficiency solar energy conversion of 11.6 percent, which is the highest among copper selenide and indium gallium (CIGS) solar cells sold today in Japan.

Honda Soltec began producing and selling solar modules for residential use in 2007 and for the public and industrial use in 2008.

To date, Honda Soltec said it has sold residential modules use solar cells of approximately 2250 homes through home builders and contractors.

The company has also set up public and industrial use solar cells of approximately 120 buildings, including the Hanshin Koshien Stadium, the warehouses of logistics centers and hospitals.
